For
Lorna Katz, lead, music was always an integral
part of life. Born in Waimea, Hawaii, her singing debut was
at age three. Lorna is a classically trained vocalist having
sung in operas and musical plays. She is a former member of
Los Cancioneros Master Chorale. She has also sung vocal backups
for gospel singer Bobbie Mason, and for the sons of the late
Jr. Walker of Motown's Jr. Walker and the All-Stars.
Lorna was introduced to barbershop style harmony through her
husband Rick who is a member of the South Bay Coastliners
of the Barbershop Harmony Society. She can also play the guitar,
viola and flute, as well as some piano, and can dance jazz
and hula. She is a professional background actor currently
appearing as a Doctor/Administrator on Fox's hit medical TV
drama, House, M.D., which stars Hugh Laurie.
Lorna began her Sweet Adeline life as a member of L.A. South
Towns Show Chorus but currently holds dual membership with
Verdugo Hills Showtime Chorus where she sings lead and Harborlites
Chorus where she sings baritone.

I'm
Jane Wolff, the bass, (often called "Big"
Jane or Jane the "Pain). With ten years in Sweet Adelines
under my belt, I finally decided to quartet and here we are..."Plan
B". I'm happily retired after 37 years teaching Junior
High kids, (it's a wonder I'm not in a padded cell), and enjoying
life with my four dogs, numerous barn cats, two goats (Bob
and Wanda), three horses and my one remaining pig (Clarisse).
My place is often referred to as the Chino "Funny Farm".
If I'm not at home, I'm traveling or busy having fun. Enough
said!

Over
40 years ago, a young woman wishing to have some fun by singing
one night a week visited The Pomona Valley Chapter of Sweet
Adelines International. Glenda Lee, baritone,
continues to sing "one night a week" or much more
according to her husband Dwayne.
In her years in Sweet Adelines, Glenda has been director
of North Orange County and Pomona Valley Chapters. Along the
way, her daughter, Susan, grew old enough to join the organization
and began to quartet with Mom. They settled into a quartet
called "Sounds Great" and they did! They competed
in Region 21 winning second place two times before becoming
Region 21 Quartet Champs in 1982.
Glenda enjoyed other musical venues, becoming the music teacher
for grades 1-4 at the American School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
when the whole family moved there. There was the fun task
of chorus mistress for "Oklahoma" and co-directing
the Hedjaz Choral Society. Years later in Munich, Germany,
she sang in the German-American Choral Society.
In the meantime, she and her husband raised four children.
Glenda is a Registered Nurse and worked for 29 years in a
Community Clinic setting.
Glenda
recently joined Verdugo Hills Showtime Chorus and has resumed
quarteting, singing with "Plan B", enjoying the
work involved and friendships made. She is a grandmother of
three "almost perfect" grandchildren and tends to
be their ally in childhood misadventures. Her newest venture
is teaching Adult Bible Study, adding a whole new dimension
of study and learning to her life.

Pam
Consoli, tenor, first came to Sweet Adelines in 2003,
singing with the Sounds of Harmony Chorus in Region 21. In 2007,
Pam also joined Verdugo Hills Showtime Chorus in Region 11,
and is active in both choruses. But it was at Verdugo Hills
Showtime Chorus where "Plan B" was formed, coincidentally
all four members holding dual membership with a second Sweet
Adelines International chorus.
Pam has worked as a Registered Piano Technician in the Claremont
area since 1980. She has been married to her high school sweetheart
since 1969. They have two grown children. |
