The Festival competition is limited to five (5) Middle school and ten (10) High school choral groups of 16 or more students. Each choral group will sing two a cappella songs in any style of 3 or 4-part harmony and be adjudicated in competition categories such as intonation, tone quality, synchronization, style, phrasing, dynamics, etc. An added feature in the Middle and High school sessions will be the “Festival Favorite.” A cash prize of $250 is awarded to the “Festival Favorite.” Only ticket holders will be able to vote for their “Favorite.” Middle and High schools competing will receive cash prizes ranging from $500 to $1500. Prize money donated by the John C. Hench Foundation.
